Liam finds his fate in something supernatural. Although he hasn’t seen it yet, this voice changes his thoughts, actions, and very existence. He lives alone peacefully, in a house he inherited from his Grandpa Paul. Things are transpiring in his home. He hears an urgent voice shouting out: Many people are missing, strange lights are being reported beaming across the sky.
Ever since the tragic death of his parents, Grandpa Paul has referred to him as a son. “Liam, you have a special gift, son.” He doesn’t understand what Grandpa Paul means about the gift. He doesn’t ask. From the day the voice calls to Liam, he is enamored by it. He can’t stop thinking about it. The voice still sounds in his head, ringing in some corridor of his mind. That voice commands him to return to the lighthouse’s edge—the very lighthouse where his Grandpa Paul took him fishing as a young boy. Liam obeys. As he fishes, waves begin to crash upon the breakwater more violently. Liam decides to leap from one rock to another, picking up speed and momentum as the sultry voice calls out. He trusts the voice wholeheartedly, although it has not revealed its form to him, and he’s not sure it will. That very night, Liam realizes his sleep paralysis has broken away. And he now knows that ghostly voice is no ghost at all. It is extraterrestrial.
